Global Thermostat is a New York-based startup that has been around for few years: the company has a very interesting technology that, just like a vacuum cleaner, can suck the CO2 out of the air.
The company generated some buzz last year when it signed a contract with ExxonMobil that will help scale its CO2 removal technology.
If Global Thermostat can produce tangible results, we might finally have a key weapon to combat climate change but two Bloomberg journalists report that the company hasn’t completely lived up to its promises.
Who knows? Global Thermostat’s technology might not become the dominant standard but there is always hope in technology.
